Day 12.
Why do we lift so much?  Why do we want to be strong?  Why do we put weight overhead and walk with it?  Why do we keep “active shoulders” while doing pull-ups, dips, rows, and push-ups?  The main reason being is to build joint stability.
Joint stability:  refers to the resistance offered by various musculoskeletal tissues that surround a skeletal joint. Several subsystems ensure the stability of a joint. These are the passive, active and neural subsystems. The opposite of stability is instability. It is believed that one or more of the subsystems must have failed if joint instability occurs. (Wiki)
In basic terms, we want to make you strong and train your muscles to fire correctly and fully in order to keep you moving well and pain free, well into your elder years.  Pay attention to your positioning AT ALL TIMES.  Make note of what your body is doing and make sure it is moving in the correct ways that you want it to.  Don’t just let appendages fly about and do what they want, someone might get hurt.
